“People wouldn’t recognize me if they knew what was going on inside me – in fact, some days I hardly recognize myself!”
If you’ve reached the limits of what you can figure out on your own – whether it’s due to depression, anxiety, a change in life circumstances, or relationship issues – I’m here to help.
I’m just as passionate today as I was when I started out as a social worker more than 20 years ago: working collaboratively with folks from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and sexual orientations who are motivated to change. My Jewish values inform all that do. I honor the uniqueness of every human being and maintain a sense of hope in the face of challenges.
If you’re struggling with communicating with a loved one, a life transition, grief and loss, being a more effective parent, considering divorce, or finding calm in the face of daily chaos, together we will discover new ways of coping or find a fresh perspective on things you’re already doing.
I’ve always been curious about how we relate to each other and the world around us. After earning my MSW from Catholic University, I was drawn to working with families who have come together through foster care or adoption. I know that infertility, parenting, grief and loss, and answering the question “Who am I?” have special meaning for those in the adoption community. LEARN MORE ABOUT MY ADOPTION WORK HERE.
Let’s face it: change is scary and hard and sometimes feels nearly impossible to do on our own. My office is a space free of judgement where I will listen to your wants, needs, and fears. We will build a therapeutic relationship based on trust and safety. You can be yourself in our sessions, just as I will be myself — warm, compassionate, and direct. The first step is showing up: we’ll figure out the rest together.
